The buzz has hardly subsided, even almost a week after Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky tied the knot. The reason? Why that gorgeous Vera Wang gown of hers, of course. Meanwhile, Ivanka Trump is still making heads turn after saying "I do" in a demure hand-appliquéd lace wedding gown that was inspired by none other than Grace Kelly.

Both Ivanka and Chelsea looked gorgeous on their wedding day, although their gowns couldn't have been more different. Ivanka's style has been described as modest while Chelsea's style is the embodiment of modernity. Either way, both of these celebrity brides have already inspired an endless list of trends for the rest of 2010 and beyond. Taking a cue from these ladies, as well as a few other a-listers, here are my top five celebrity-inspired wedding gown trends.

1. Raw-edged laser-cut skirts

The strapless silk organza gown that Chelsea wore down the aisle was custom made just for her, although it's entirely possible for brides to copy Chelsea's style without placing their own custom order. This strapless a-line Enzoani gown with ruched bodice and asymmetrical draped gaza skirt (above, at left) almost brings a tear to my eye. AisleDash has named it as their number one pick for Chelsea Clinton Wedding Gown Look-a-Likes. Can you blame them?

2. Short sleeves

Ivanka Trump's couture Vera Wang wedding gown proved that not every bride favors something strapless, although it's certainly been a trend thus far. Covering up is the new way for fashionable brides to show off their sophisticated side, and this Carmela Sutera lace gown with short sleeves is the perfect example.

3. Corseted bodices

Carrie Underwood wed Mike Fisher n a drop waist, custom ballgown designed by Monique Lhullier. Complete with a corseted bodice made of Chantilly lace, this traditional country western star showcased a look that is hard to pull off but impossible to resist. Monique Lhullier's Twilight gown is similar to Carrie's in that it has a similar corseted bodice and all the detailing that makes a Southern gentleman blush.

4. Asymmetric necklines

Vera Wang just won't quit. She was hard at work this year, designing gowns for more than one a-list star. When it came time for Alicia Keys to tie the knot with Swizz Beatz, the rock star picked a Grecian ivory silk dress with an asymmetrial neckline to go with her exotic location by the Mediterranean sea. This double strap asymmetrical gown from from Ella Brides is equal parts romance and rock-n-roll.

5. Endless trains

Action star Megan Fox kept her wedding ceremony to Brian Austin Green surprisingly simple. Wearing a white Armani Privé gown with a 16-foot train, the brunette beauty paid homage to the legendary designer in a silk georgette strapless corset gown. Nothing says drama quite like a 16-foot train, and only the most dramatic brides will dare to attempt this trend. If they so choose, Douglas Hannant debuted a dreamy strapless gown with seemingly endless train during his Spring 2011 presentation.
