So i was hoping for a cheeseburger from mcdonalds and wondering when i'd see him next and waddayaknow he brought me sushi!

Ps. It was a 18piece sushiplate from our fave sushiplace downtown and we ate most of it downstairs and then he had to jet to fetch the kids from the kindergarten and I brought the rest with me to my room to take photos cause I forgot about it when he came here. Documentation! :p

Dear hospital-diary!

I had the most weirdest dream tonight. It involved water, a whale whom we could enter and play with in the tummy just like a water-landtoy kinda, some dolphins, a mammoth and...a unicorn. As all the animals were leaving into the big forest-sea (I know...weird dream :p) the unicorn came and tapped me thrice, making me brighter. Anyone knows what a unicorn stands for? It seemed so real. It's been ages since I had such dreams.

I'm being a nice girl. Grateful for the painkillers I can get my hands on and goes to sleep fairly early. I'm helping the other nice old ladies in my room with cleaning their foodtrays and bringing them coffee. My diet isn't going too well, my plan of eating barely enough to get stuffed but no more (cause the food really isn't all that most of the time, ugh) kinda was ruined by Simen bringing me takeaway pizza yesterday. Italian style pizza with blue cheese...one of my faves....damn! :p The two of us eating takeawaypizza at the end of the corridor ...does that spell "your food sucks" loud enough to the nurses passing by? Hm. Nurses&docs: no offense but the hospitalfood really isn't...uh....all that. :p They say I'll most likely go home on monday. Yay! Hope I'm feeling good enough to scrap some once I get home! Been drawing some sketches and looking at ideas in the mags. Just hope I'll get enough painkillers with me so that I can scrap...cause tbh I don't feel like doing too much at this state atm..but dunno...maybe scrapping will do me good..I miss doing creative stuff for sure. Just a few more days....

Simen and the kids will drop by today. Looking forward to see the kids. Hope I don't scare them too much...

Jada..kjeder meg her på sykehuset...har tatt noen mobilbilder av random ting men er så usikker på kvaliteten..lasta de opp på flickr men får ikke sett bildene skikkelig på denne laptopen..all grafikken ser like elendig ut...selv på bilder jeg vet på forhånd er fine..jeje. Simen kommer innom med ungene idag..det skal bli hyggelig...bare jeg ikke skremmer de for mye..? :s Har iallefall ønska meg en "morsdags-valentines-sykehus-gave". Det er nå bare rett og rimelig? :p Tre i ett....det er jo...billig det...:p Så får vi se da....:p

This was a memory which oughta be preserved, regardless of how much it sucked.
And it wasn't that bad really, as Amalie was a nice little girl all night - but I woudln't want to repeat that - not if I can help it (or is it can't? Hm..) :P Anyways. As all the pictures were taken with my mobile I figured smaller pictures were better as the quality aint all that - it's nice (especially for being taken from a mobile) but the colors are somewhat off and the odd flash..ugh I hate direct flash...Anyways...as miniaturepictures they doesn't seem that bad uh... & I really like this sketch provided in DW2007 - jan 22nd - I haven't had much luck with sketches lately (as in things never really clicked), but this one really seemed very nice to work with. I need to work more with sketches aside from just doing them whenever there's a challenge or contest involved. And the 7gypsiespapers! I LOVE them!!! I so wanna order the rest of the 7gypsies-papers from Papirloftet, but something in me tells me to be sensible and wait for the Basic Grey CHA news at least....hmm...I have to ponder about that one for a little more....

I dropped by FotoVideo today to fetch a Nikon D50 - yep - I checked around on the net and found out that I actually was entitled to borrow a camera of "similar quality" as the one I handed in for rep. Hmm. Now, why didn't that woman just say so when I handed in my cam or in the email-conversations later on? Ohwell. Nevermind that. I haven't been impressed by their "service" from prev. experience, so that really shouldn't have surprised me - the "don't say more than you absolutely have to"-attitude. And. When I mailed and asked about borrowing a cam I was lucky - they did have one cam available for rental - so I'm really happy about that. The pictures from this weekend plain sucks - I'm a bit sad and disappointed because of that - but ohwell. No more. I got another SLR now! Wohoo!

I also checked out their calibration-stuff - the cheapest is like, 150$ - but man - I *so* want one! I'm so sick and fed up with being happy about pictures on the screen just to find out it's too dark or too bright in print. Drives me crazy - and with all the printing I actually do I might just aswell buy me one someday soon. Soon.

Og da var flyplass-"marerittet" scrappet. Måtte jo det da. Og siden bildene ble tatt med mobilen og dermed ikke sååå bra så passet det jo greit å forminske de såpass sånn at det ikke helt synes på de fleste bildene :) Skissen er fra 22. januar i DW2007-kalenderen min - en ganske artig og flott skisse å scrappe! :)

Ellers har jeg fått låne et Nikon D50 kamera fra FotoVideo - YAY! Litt lei meg for at jeg ikke oppdaget dette før - at man faktisk har rett til et lånekamera - men det var faktisk helgas mildt sagt ELENDIGE bilder (tror bare 2-3 er scrapbare i 5x7 format - resten bør helst være i miniatyrbilder for å ikke avsløre den elendige kvaliteten så mye) som gjorde jeg ble lei meg in the first place og bestemte meg for å undersøke hva jeg egentlig har rett på mht kamera på reparasjon. Vel. Ikke akkurat "service" av FotoVideo å ikke opplyse meg om dette da jeg leverte inn kameraet mitt eller i de senere emailutvekslingene, men det var vel ikke annet å forvente jf tidligere erfaringer med de. MEN - de hadde et lånekamera inne og det var ikke noe problem å reservere det til meg når jeg først spurte. Det skal de ha! Så... me happy again! Litt så! :)

Heldigvis er amalie i et fortreffelig humør og leker og tøyser og nå de siste 20 minuttene har hun hørt på musikk på mobilen min. Jeg har funnet ut at flyplassen har en masse gode lenestoler. Yay! Og nå skal vi faktisk inn til flyet! Jippi!

Edit: Sorry gals! I was bloggin from my mobile and thus chose to do so in Norwegian only. Nothing exciting went on - apart from the fact that my flight kept being postponed whole five friggin times during the evening - from 8.55pm to 00.45am........ fun...NOT! All this just because of some moron with a suspicious suitcase which the guards didn't notice until he was gone from the controlpost and thus had to close off the whole airport and bring all the passengers outside and make them go thru the securitythingie once again ....and when they found the dude again it turned out to be....nothing *rolls eyes* - and it affected pretty much whole the Norwegian aircraft.....and us......bleh..and Im mad at the airportguy who told us on the phone that no, the flight will go on as sceduled (my ass), go to the airport as normal.....(we called right before we were about to leave from home just in case my flight would be delayed so we could like, wait at home instead at the airport...alas.. no such luck :p ANyways. Finally arrived mom at 2.30am or so.

Ah! Playing with cards is fun! So when Ali E posted her weekly challenge in the AEzine about displaying your (or well, in this instance, mine :P) word easily spotted at the workspace I looked at the cards and thought it'd make a nice miniplaque to stick on my shelf along with some other minipictures that's uh, leftovers from layouts where I didn't need them afterall. Anyways. As my cam still is away (no word on wassup yet), I had to use my mobile to take this picture. Not too bad a substitute no? Here's a closeup aswell. Oh. And don't worry. I took one of the jokers. Still got 52 cards just for Emilys challenge :)

There's actually snow outside right now - but for how long - well, that remains to be seen. It stopped snowing now for a while and it's pretty wet outside. Still. Wish I had MY CAMERA to capture the little whiteness so I'd have a proof that YES we actually got some snow this year :p Ohwell. I think there will be an official word on it soon, haven't seen any yet - but since Kathrine already posted the link at her blog I hope it's ok that I am too: Scrappefeber by Hobbyhimmelen! Sounds like fun, no? Another challenge to add on my gotta-join list. Phew. It's starting to GROW :p (10 days into january and I've got 11 layouts made. Not too shabby :) Hope I can keep up with the growing list of things I wanna do and join :p )

Ali Edwards har en ukentlig newslettergreie der hun utfordrer leserne til å gjøre forskjellige små ting. Forrige ukes utfordring var å finne et ord som skulle være ditt eh..ledetrådord liksom, for 2007. Jeg falt helt og holdent for hennes ord for 2006 - "play". Denne ukes utfordring var å ha dette ordet lett synlig for en - jeg valgte å lage et kort (fnis...kort er gøy for tiden :D) med ordet PLAY på og klistre det på hylla over scrappepulten min. Altså, "lek" - det er jo egentlig det jeg gjør allerede da, med scrappingen min - men en reminder er alltid velkommen. Lek mer med farger. Lek mer med oppsett. Lek deg gjennom hele prosessen. Ha det gøy. Nemlig.
Våge mer kanskje. Vi får se. :)

Ellers - den har ikke startet enda og jeg har ikke sett noen offisiell word ang den noensteder, men siden Kathrine postet linken i hennes blog så våger jeg å poste den her jeg også: Scrappefeber! En ny konkurranse der Hobbyhimmelen står bak. Spennende! Dette må jeg definitivt få med meg :) The M game på Minneriket (Som forøvrig er verdt å sjekke ut! Digger reglene der - akkurat den konkurransen er kjempefin for både de som har mye og de som har lite scrappetid :) ), og Scrappefeber. Det burde være mer enn nok til å holde meg opptatt om kveldene fremover, eller? Og så pushe inn litt DW2007 greier innimellom, og flue så mye jeg kan. Og gjerne få med meg noen effers-greier og. Yep. Plan!

I waited and waited a lot. Oh, and I also managed to chat with five docs and a nurse in between. Six persons in six hours, that's not too shabby now is it? That's an average of one person an hour. Luckily I got to borrow mother-in-law's laptop, making the wait quite tolerable as I hit the hospitals wireless net. Unfortunately there's no such net available here at the hotel. Gah. Back to mobile blogging then. Wish me luck tomorrow. Until then, ciao.

Kjapp oppdatering, mest fordi jeg fikk lyst til å blogge fra mobilen just because :) Tok en kjapp tur innom Lindeberg gård. Deretter en liten svipptur innom papertrends for litt papir...men fant ikke så mye annet fristende så.. Lager pinnekjøtt til søs nå. Pinnekjøtt må være noe av det beste med jula!

Alright..seems like I can only email one picture at a time or else the message will duplicate itself while displaying the different pictures in their own posts...and I attached three pictures and only two made it through. Ohwell :) Just wanted to blog from my mobile for once..:p Visiting a "cityfarm" in between the shopping....I got around to visit one of the local scrapstores, but didn't buy that much - just some papers and a large, cool monogram (MM 8" 'A' ). I want to scrap, but that'll have to wait till I'm back home - in the meantime I'm busy taking lots of pictures :)

Edit: Not sure why the last picture didn't make it to blogger - but it made it to flickr at least - here it is. The quality of the pictures taken with the N73 amazes me. At least when both the objects and the photographer both stands still and there's plenty of light all around :P

EDIT: LOL WOHOO!!! As you all can see it's working! YAY! Well, the label thing isn't quite working, but what the heck..I'll just add them manually :) And yes..that picture was taken using N73 :) As I mentioned earlier (I think :p) -- if your hand is steady and the objects in front of the camera stands still, you'll get great pictures with this mobile. However, it's more affected by movements = blurry pictures than reg cameras I feel. Ohwell. Can't get'em all I guess. And oh. Wasted more than an hour on figuring this out (and finally got around to it through flickr :p) - now - need to clean up this house for Christmas! And oh! Hot dang! It's just FOUR more days for Christmas! *faint* *faint* *faint* *sigh*

Am testing the wonderful little things you can do with the blog. I'm emailing my own blog atm. Not quite sure why I'd email my own blog - at least not from a PC - if I have a PC I'd rather edit stuff in the blog itself maybe. I also did some testing with emailing the blog from the chellphone, which worked wonderful - now that'd be useful when on vacations and stuff and no PC/Internet in sight....maybe... Just need to figure out how to downsize the pictures the chellphone takes - they're like, 1MB each...the N73 camera is nice - 3.2megapixels and Carl Zeiss optic, whatever that means. What I found out is that - if your hand (taking the picture) and the people in front of the camera/objects are standing still, you'll get very nice pictures. If not - well, it easily gets blurred. Much more easier than with reg. cams imo.

Anyways. Testing the upload of pictures with email & stuff - these are the pictures from yesterdays Santaparty in the kindergarten. Amalie didn't wanna cooperate when it came to taking pictures, so jeje. And look! Frames by Rhonna Farrer! Aren't they cool? :D

Edit 3: Alright. Mobile blogging wasn't supported on my phone I think, not this kind at least. And Nokia Lifeblog apparantly doesn't support Blogger. Still. Figured a way with Flickr! YAY!

Yay! Finally got around to get a memcard for my chellphone, allowing me to enjoy music on it aswell. Me like so far (and wtf is wrong with the prices these days? 2GB memcard cost me 381NOK at flexi-data (kingston), while the same amount of GB cost 600 and 900 at Telekiosken and Expert. Ripoffs!) Also, while messing around in the city looking for yet another Frozen Throne CD (the expansion pack of Warcraft 3) as the kiddo somehow broke the old CD in two - and he's like, *need* that game - I coudln't resist buying me a little treat -- Gwen Stefanis newest CD! Yay! I haven't actually purchased an album in like, years (or well, one and half year I think?) - the last album I bought was Nathalie Nordnes first CD. And that was like, uh..well, at least two summers ago :p (oh, and if you need a quick tip for what to give me for Christmas - well, I'd like these CDs: Tori Amos' albums but the two first ones, especially Boys for Pele I think it's called, the Pussycat Dolls latest (YES!), Nathalie Nordnes second CD (the third one is in the works afaik), hmm..can't think of more CDs I'd like to own :p)

Anyways. I think I'm at pace with Christmas. Just missing a few pressies for some of those in Oslo, but I think I'll fix that while in Oslo somehow. It'll be ok :p

The layout: Started it at the Christmas-crop, and finished it at home. It was a (anti)reaction to my thoughts and feelings about needing to have a story behind the pictures -- well - this time I *wanted* to just scrap some pictures just because!! Thus the title -- "Just because...." ;)
I know. I should be much better at the behind-stories....but still...can't deny I love scrapping just because! :) I know.....I went a bit tad wild with the blingblings here. The cardstock is bazzill bling (sugardaddy I believe - such a cool name haha) and there's loads of small Heidi Swapp blingborders cut in pieces all around the layout :) It was actually supposed to be a lettersize, but because I wanted to preserve the pattern in the circle-paper I had to make it too big, hence the 12x12 montage.

Det er litt sykt hvor stor forskjell det faktisk er på priser og databrikker. Prisforskjellen var så stor at jeg måtte dobbeltsjekke at det faktisk gikk an å bruke de mer billige brikkene til mobilen - og joda, det går kjempefint det. Kjøpte nemlig et 2GB minnekort til N73 på Flexi-data, en av de mer rimligere butikkene innenfor datautstyr til den nette sum av 381 kroner. Og merket skal være av de mer pålitelige sånn ellers, så det er ingen tvilsom minnebrikke altså... (kingston). På Telekiosken kunne de tilby 2GB minnebrikke til 600kroner, og hos Expert kostet den hele 900kroner!! Yikes! Og attpåtil skulle fyren i Expert til å åpne 900-kronerspakken for å sette den inn i mobilen min da jeg stoppet ham med at hey, jeg betaler ikke 900 kroner for det der når den koster mellom 3-500kr i databutikker! Jeez.

Har også fått unnagjort de siste innkjøpene til vestlandsfamilien idag, og samtidig unnet meg Gwen Stefanis nyeste CD - The Sweet Escape :) Har noen gaver igjen, men de tar jeg når vi er i Oslo tenker jeg :)

Ellers - dagens layout: En LO jeg begynte på juletreffet hos Hobbykroken, men ikke gjort ferdig før nå. Den er på en måte en slags motreaksjon mot "tvangstankene" mine i det siste om at LO'ene helst bør ha en historie bak seg..jeg føler det fortsatt sånn da - men allikevel...det ER gøy å bare ta et par bilder og bare scrappe .... just because! :p Og begge deler er jo like fine og like "lovlige" - jeg må bare prøve å huske å balansere begge deler liksom :)

Ahh! So exhausted!
First, the good news: I got myself a new chellphone yesterday! Nokia N73! Yay! Am also done with the "creative" work at scrapping.no, which tbh is quite a relief. I'm glad I got the chance in the first place, it showed me something I still really enjoy doing, and showed me that hey, I can do this too....but enough is enough :p I wish the new ones good luck :)
And to the bad news...our car broke down yesterday - resulting in the towtruck dropping by to fetch our car to the garage. Oh joy. Isn't just so typical. I love such unexpected expenses at Christmastime. Yey.

Gosj! Noen dager føles mer slitsom enn andre, og dagen idag er akkurat en sånn dag. Ikke fordi dagen i seg selv er noe særlig slitsom (eller?), men fordi en føler seg så utslitt og ja..sliten :)
Igår skaffet jeg meg endelig en ny mobil, etter at den lånte mobilen jeg hadde sa takk og hadet for seg for et par uker siden. Nokia N73. Yay. Med 3G, slik at det blir (forhåpentligvis) enklere å prate med mamma og søs over videonettet. Testa det litt isted med søs mens hun var i byen på vei til et julebord. Hihi.

Ellers er nyheten om at vi i de kreative på scrapping.no gir oss ute, og også nyheten om hvem som blir de nye. Ønsker de nye all mulig lykke til! Selv er jeg glad for at "min" tid er ute. Det var en fin sjanse - en sjanse som viste meg at jeg faktisk kan om jeg vil, og som viste meg en sjanger jeg skjønner jeg faktisk liker å gjøre/pusle med. Det er jeg veldig takknemlig for. Ikke minst for bekjentskapen med de flotte jentene! Men - det er også godt å være ferdig med de kreative. :p

Ellers ga bilen vår opp igår kveld -- dvs - viftereima røk. Urk! Bilen ble tauet inn på verksted idag morges, og beskjeden fra verkstedet denne ettermiddagen var at joda, de hadde bestilt nytt reim, men at de ville se nærmere på bilen imorgen også, så prisanslag kom ikke før da. Eek! Jeg sier som Pondus: Det er to ting jeg frykter mest her i verden: Bilmekanikere og tannleger!! En kan jo ikke gjøre annet enn å mukke ovenfor disse skumle folkene :p

Ellers tilbrakte jeg dagen med å få unnagjort noen julegaver, IKEA tur og siste møte med veiledern for dette året - neste blir ikke før uti januar :p

Her er forøvrig de siste "verkene" mine for de kreative - jeg er virkelig fornøyd med LO'ene her, og "bilderammen" ble ikke så verst heller :)
