Wedding vows are those little promises that a bride and groom are making to each other during the wedding ceremony. The wedding vows, the same as the wedding customs themselves, have changed in time. Nowadays couples can chose freely their wedding vows, only some more conservative and tradition – loving religions constrain the couple to recite the traditional standard wedding vows.

For example the Catholic Church, known to be very conservative, has its own wedding vows and accepts only small deviations from the standard text. The Catholic wedding vows are the famous “I take you (name of the bride/groom) to be my (name of the groom bride) to be my husband/wife” vows.

Next when writing own wedding vows be certain that no one will disturb you, that you will be alone, having the silence you need to think and write. Make sure that you will have your privacy. It is important that you discuss with your partner some general rules – talk about how long the wedding vows should be (you do not want to feel embarrassed on your wedding day that your partner has written a whole story as his vow and you have only some sentences).
