One of the things I am thankful for is tea. Tea with milk (preferably whole milk) and honey. Or real Chai. *yum*
I’m rarely one of those who knows exactly what I’m gonna do in advance. I just go with the flow and wing it. Here I pulled three scraps (from both Restoration and Brooke), and cut this half-doily which I knew I wanted to use. This was my general idea of how I wanted my tag to end up like. Then I started looking for bits and pieces to complete this idea as I worked my way through the layers.
Pulled out a doily rub-on from Restoration and placed it on my tag.
Sprayed some chalk glimmer-mist on it.
Then started sewing the layers on.
While I wrapped the patterned papers around the tag for the top two papers, I distressed the edges of the bottom one. Now, to add some kind of unity across all the three layers, I rubbed another doily rub-on and rubbed it across all three layers. Subtle.
Then I added my final doily – the patterned paper cut out. At this point I decided I wanted what was visible from the original tag to be washed in blue mist and distress ink. What’s nice with rub-ons is that once rubbed on, it’ll work as a resist against mist/ink, making it really stand out if you decide to add color around it.
Then it’s time for the chipboard – one of the loveliest chipboard from this collection – the teapot one! Now, I pretty much always prefer to add my own (liquid) adhesive on chipboards, even if they do come prefabricated with their own adhesive. Just a little safety-thing to do unless you wanna risk pieces of chipboard everywhere but on your project (anyone remember the Heidi Swapp-chipboard letters? 
)
Now, time to add cute, small stickers!
